Dear All,
We are very pleased to announce that the Bengali Association of South Florida (BASFL) will be organizing Durga Puja on October 12th and 13th , 2024 at Westpine Middle School, 9393 NW 50th St., Sunrise, FL 33531. Please Join us to enjoy the nostalgia of our favorite festival along with Dhaker Bajna, dhunuchi nach, dodhi karma, Gaan r Jalsa, and most importantly Cha r adda.
Your support and active participation like in previous years will once again help us to recreate our favorite Durga Puja memories spent with our near and dear ones.Bengali Fuchka stall will be there this year.
Registration charge - Adult $90/person , Kids: 6-12 years :$40 and 12+ to 18 years :$50 , Student: $70 (id card needed)
Early-registration discount will end on 30th September and all charges will increase by 10$ per person from 1st october.
Registration fees for Both Days - Oct 12th and 13th
(Puja + Cultural Program + Lunch/dinner + Evening Snacks )
Below charges will increase by 10$ per person from 1st October
Adult: $90 per person
Kids (6-12years): $40 per kid
Kids (12+ to 18 years): $50 per kid
Student: $70 (student id required to be produced at the gate)

Please note that the Saturday cultural show will start at the
exact scheduled time to accommodate local & guest artist performances

Sindur Khela/ Dhunuchi Naach : After lunch
Evening Snacks: 5:00 PM
Venue closing : 5.30 pm

We will wrap-up by 5.30pm on Sunday 13th October and will not organize any
cultural show or dinner on that day.

This year it will be a shorter affair starting with Saraswati Puja, dadhi-korma, lunch, and local cultural program and ending with evening snacks.
If any of you are interested in performing "hathe-khori" for your child, drop us an email in advance at sf.bengali@gmail.com so that we can schedule it accordingly.
Please bring your friends and family so that we can all enjoy the spirit of the Saraswati Puja / Basant Festival together.
Tentative Schedule:
Please Note this year our local cultural show will start right after lunch. So, we request that you plan accordingly and be present to encourage our local talents. We will not be able to accommodate participants who are not ready for the show by 3:30 PM .
Puja, Anjali, Hathe-khori: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Prasad and Lunch: 1:30 PM – 3 PM
Local Cultural Program: 3:30 PM – 5 :30 PM
Evening Snacks: 5:30 PM
Clean up and Wrap up: 6 PM

Please Join us to celebrate Holi Picnic (Basanta Utsav) hosted by BASFL on 19th March, 2022 to enjoy rong khela, adda and lots of some lip-smacking food. Pizzas and snacks will be provided for the kids.
